Fish, Fowl, and Pharohs

I think it's really cool that the Eqyptians domesticated so many animals. I think the coolest animals they domesticated is the duck. I am a hugeeeee duck fan. I think ducks would have been hard to domesticate. To locate the eggs, incubate them, and keeping the hatchlings warm is no easy task today, let alone so many years ago when incubators and heat lamps didn't exist. Kudos to the Egyptians.

<- these are my babies :) thank you eqyptians for domesticating ducks!

I had no idea that camels were once native to North America. I cannot imagine camels roaming around Chicora. I think it would be really creepy actually.

I laughed went I read that salt was considered an aphrodisiac. There's no possible way that can be true. Really, the only thing salt does for you is balance osmosis, and too much will kill you. It will also make you really thirsty, but not act as viagra.

I didn't know salt was actually formulated for different amounts of sodium and chlorine. It's amazing that they could do that back then. I think it's ridiculous that there was poor mans and rich man's salt too.

It's also really odd that the Egyptians had their own form of soy sauce and pickled their food.

I didn't like this chapter as much. Nothing really made me say "wow" like the last chapter did. Maybe the Chinese were just so amazing that no one else can compare to them?
